Restructuring of the sales and engineering team
- As part of the strategic realignment of Vectron Systems AG from a POS manufacturer to a full-size system solution provider, the company’s sales and engineering teams will be restructured.
Sales is being expanded from a pure specialist trade partner system into an omni-channel strategy. To implement this new structure, a key account and a direct sales team will shortly be added to the existing national and international sales teams.
Future product developments will focus on B2B2C cloud services, including hardware. At the same time, the product lines will be streamlined to reduce complexity and the development teams will be increasingly working on an interdisciplinary basis. The implementation of these organisational changes will start on 1 June 2018.
“The organisational changes in Sales and Engineering cement our claim of being an agile company which clearly focuses on marketing the cloud services in connection with software and hardware. In Sales, we will therefore also activate the direct business as well as the B2B key account business in addition to the specialist trade partner business with immediate effect,” explains Oliver Kaltner, CEO Vectron Systems AG.
“The restructuring of our engineering teams will enable us to react even more quickly to future market requirements. Development is being accelerated, meaning that new hardware product generations will be ready to launch more quickly and our cloud services will always meet our customers’ requirements. We thus continue to consistently pursue our goal of being the leading solution provider during the digital transformation of the food and beverages industry,” adds Jens Reckendorf, CTO Vectron Systems AG.
According to plan, the annual general meeting on 17 May approved an amendment to the articles of association, which adjusts the company’s purpose to reflect the new alignment: “The purpose of Vectron Systems AG is to develop, distribute and sell integrated solutions for POS systems and related systems, including software and cloud-based data analysis, data management, goods management, CRM and service modules, interfaces for third parties, related services of any kind, and the production of the required hardware, particularly POS systems and accessories.”
