Vectron Systems AG takes over remaining shares of iPad POS system provider Posmatic
- On 1 January 2019 Vectron Systems AG takes over the remaining 25 percent of the shares from the founders and thus owns 100% of the Posmatic GmbH.
Vectron had already purchased 75 percent of shares of the successful POS startup in November 2016 and provided additional growth capital. Posmatic is the provider of a POS software app that runs on hardware of the Apple Company, e.g. Ipads, Ipods or Iphones. End customers usually buy the hardware themselves and pay monthly fees for using the software. This sales model is particularly popular with smaller companies that are often unable to finance traditional POS systems. After the startup has reached the agreed milestones in terms of quality and initial sales success in the last two years as an independently managed company, the product is now to be fully integrated into Vectron’s sales, development and support structures.
Posmatic will be marketed in addition to Vectron and Duratec as a further POS brand of the Vectron Group and is to be established as the leading provider of iPad POS systems in Germany with Vectron’s extensive sales network.
