Vectron Systems: Delivery now begins after certification of the technical security devices by the German Federal Office of Information Security (BSI)

 -  Münster, 30th December 2019: Vectron Systems AG (Vectron), a leading supplier of intelligent POS systems consisting of hardware, software and cloud services, with focus on the catering and bakery sectors, has started to deliver technical security devices (TSE) for POS systems in the last few days.

From January 1, 2020, new POS systems have to be equipped with a certified TSE in accordance with the German Fiscal Code in order to prevent manipulation of electronic records. The TSE is a microchip in SD, micro-SD or USB format, which is integrated into the POS systems. These are produced by various independent manufacturers.  Several thousand TSE have already been pre-ordered at Vectron. The German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has now certified the first TSE products.

After the necessary software adaptations have been released a few days ago, Vectron can as of now deliver the pre-order to the dealers.

"The industry has been waiting for this certification. Now we have the last missing component to implement the framework conditions in accordance with the Fiscal Law in the coming year. As we have ordered TSE from various manufacturers at an early stage, there should be no supply bottlenecks", explains Thomas Stümmler, CEO of Vectron Systems AG. The TSE manufacturers have assured to be able to supply the expected high demand for these devices.
