Summer bar "Damenhof" in Augsburg

Damenhof in Augsburg is a very special location. It is located in the inner courtyard of an old Fugger building in the historic centre of Augsburg. A historic, oriental-style archway surrounds the open space with a large water basin. The additional name ‘summer bar’ describes the Damenhof very aptly. In summer, the high surrounding walls and the water basin provide a pleasantly cool climate that invites you to linger. And if it does rain, guests can retreat under the archways.

At Damenhof they have been using stationary Vectron POS systems such as the POS 7 for five years. This year, the mobile POS M4 Pay cash registers have been added. Pavlos Tabakis, operations manager at Damenhof, explains: ‘They allow us to better fulfil the request of 70% to 90% of customers for direct card payment,’ after all, the POS M4 Pay combines ordering, card payment and digital receipt dispensing in just one device. ‘Plus we can take twice as many orders in the same amount of time,’ Pavlos continues. Staff doesn't have to check where the payment terminal is or when it will be free to use. Everything runs much more smoothly, which is absolutely essential with 600 guests at the weekend. 

This is how he summarises the introduction of POS M4 Pay: ‘It was definitely the best decision for us, we would make this decision again and again.’
