Completely happy with Vectron POS solutions

CPI Hotels operates international 5-star hotel brands such as the Buddha-Bar Hotel, 4-star brands such as Clarion Hotels, Holiday Inn, and Courtyard by Marriott, and also has 3-star brands such as Comfort Hotels and Spa & Health Hotels in its portfolio. "Customized comfort" is CPI's stated goal, communicated for all hotel brands via the central CPI website. 

 

With such diversity, maintaining an overview is particularly important. Protel hotel software and Vectron POS systems reliably provide the headquarters in Prague with all the necessary data. Vectron POS systems have been in use at CPI for more than 5 years. The decisive factors for switching to Vectron were – as Maros Šivec, Executive F&B Director at CPI – emphasizes: "Firstly, the significantly lower cost compared to the previously used system, secondly, the faster and more comprehensive service, and finally, the positive experiences with Vectron in hotels acquired by CPI." 

One example of CPI's flexible adaptation to its needs is the use of the sameVectron POS systemby different revenue centers. For example, it is used for the lobby bar in the morning, the restaurant at lunch and in the afternoon, and room service for up to 565 rooms – as in the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague – in between. 

By switching to a different revenue center, says Maros Šivec, "hotel management can see at a glance whether, for example, opening the lobby bar at certain times is worthwhile." 

Particularly in resort hotels with restaurants that seat 250 to 300 guests, mobile Vectron POS systems are also used. They also support the processing of beverage orders for half-board guests. 

The Vectron POS systems promptly transmit the collected data to Protel, so that communication with 60 stationary and 20 mobile POS systems for the headquarters is handled via a single URL. This allows Protel to provide an online invoicing connection for all hotels. In addition, warehouse software evaluates the inventory situation, including recipe calculations.

When it comes to pricing, which varies across destinations depending on location and season, hotels remain independent despite centralized data analysis and can make the appropriate price adjustments directly in their POS systems on-site.
