With 200,000 installations in 30 countries the Vectron Systems AG, founded in 1990 and listed at the Frankfurt stock exchange, today ranks among the “Top 10” of European manufacturers of POS systems and communication software for the networking of branch shops.
The products of the technology leader are sold exclusively via a network of approx. 300 specialist trading partners all over the world. “Top technology for professionals” is the aspiration that made Vectron the market leader in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Benelux in the target branches bakery and hospitality. End users range from the single station installation in the restaurant of a small town to a network with 1,000 POS systems, for example for Klier, Europe’s largest hairdresser chain.
Particularly in a demanding working environment the extremely robust stationary and mobile Vectron POS systems guarantee a long fail-safe service life. At the Munich Oktoberfest, the world’s largest festival with about 7 million visitors, 11 of the 14 large tents rely on Vectron. The British cinema chain “Odeon Cinemas”, the “National Parks Canada”, the ice cream chain Häagen Dazs, the airports in Prague (Czechia) and Dalaman (Turkey) as well as thousands of bakery chains like Ihle, Siebrecht, K&U/Edeka, Bumüller Sternenbäck or the Vienna confectionery Heberer have trusted the efficient solutions made by Vectron for many years. Whether in numerous ski huts or even in the Congo or on the Seychelles, tourists now pay at Vectron POS systems, just as during the FIFA World Cup in South Africa at the time.
The proprietary, highly flexible and worldwide unique software as well as the robust hardware provide extremely reliable and efficient complete solutions for nearly all trades and company sizes. Individual adjustments and configurations are normally carried out by the responsible trading partner. Thanks to their innovative design you can recognize Vectron POS systems at first sight.
At present Vectron employs about 180 employees on approx. 8,000 sqm in office and production in the Münster-based head office, 45 % of whom work in research and development.
The product range is updated in regular intervals in order to serve the market with technologically ground-breaking, stationary and mobile POS systems. Vectron offers for all their products an inexpensive, in-house leasing so that from the first month on the Vectron solutions generate more profits than running expenses.
In autumn 2013, Vectron launched their second brand Duratec, robust and easy-to-handle POS systems for the entry segment. With bonVito the Vectron Company introduced a multi-functional customer retention program, which is directly integrated in the POS systems. All online marketing campaigns (for instance digital stamps, customer cards with payment function and collection of points, coupons etc.) are realized automatically and tamper-proof via the Vectron POS systems during the normal invoicing process. Since its launch in spring 2012 more than 2,500 branch shops have already been equipped with bonVito.
At the end of 2016, Vectron purchased 75% of the POS software start-up Posmatic GmbH. The company produces POS software that runs on Apple hardware like e.g. iPads, iPods or iPhones. These systems are particularly popular with smaller companies, which often cannot fund conventional POS systems. In order to cover this market as well, Posmatic will be placed in addition to Vectron and Duratec as another brand of the Vectron group.
